Area of Focus: The Social Ecology of Public Policy
My
current area of focus lies within public and private policy making, as an
outgrowth of grass roots community activism and transformational leadership.
These transformational leadership abilities are grounded in eight "community
archetypes," as discovered by Jim Kent and defined as "archetypes" in
my publication titled:
The
Social Ecology of Women as Transformational Leaders
This form of public and private policy making allows for community driven change, from the inside out. Through exploring activism and leadership within the framework of informal networks, we find a foundation of beliefs and values that act as a motivational strength. This process enhances transformational leadership abilities, and the understanding of change as a constant force. It is through my background in anthropology and the theories of social ecology that my research and application continues in these areas.
